However, although the schedule I shared is based on a detailed analysis of more than 500 million accounts, I strictly recommend that you pay attention to your Instagram insights.
According to Instagram, the order of the days with more engagement are:
Why Are These The Most Effective Times to Post on Instagram?
Every day of the week has certain routines that humans have adapted to in regards to Social Media.
Many active social media users check their phones first thing when they wake up during the workweek. Monday morning is often a bit too hectic; that's why an early morning posting time Tuesday to Friday tends to generate higher engagement.
During the lunch hour, people also tend to pull out their phones and check their social media feed.
Another great time is Saturday morning. Many people are relaxed from their work obligations or spending time with friends and family - which provides a suitable moment to check your Social Media.
Do Time Zones Matter?
In brief, yes. If your main audience lives in a different time zone than you do, then you might want to pay attention to their times and post when they are most-likely to use social media.
Take into consideration that Instagram analytics provides figures based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). This means you will need to convert the time to your time zone and see which times are actually good for your profile.
As you can see on my stats, it says my followers are most active between 9pm to 3am in the morning...which I am mostly 😴
When I adapt this schedule to my time zone in Bali, I get that my followers are most active between 1 - 7pm Bali time.
Take into consideration that to see Instagram's analytics you must have a Business or Creator account.
If you're normal schedule is not allowing you to post when your followers are most active, you might want to consider using a scheduling tool.
